Highland Church is a community that is built on a foundation of acceptance. a Church that is home for everyone. We understand how it feels to be distant, disconnected, and undeserving of love.
We have a global mandate to transform lives. We believe everyone is born with a grain of greatness, and with the right association and connection with God’s grace, a truly influential and global leader will emerge. We equip those connected to us to take the mountains of influence and become leaders in different spheres.
We teach the word of God in an atmosphere filled with genuine love, friendliness, worship, prayer, and fellowship. The word of God is ministered to the distressed, dejected, and indebted, and it transforms them into shining lights and compelling voices in the world.
It is a place where everybody becomes somebody and nobody is left behind. We create an environment of transformation that grooms global pacesetters across different sectors. We are raising people who are empowered by grace and shine as lights around the world.

The Supernatural

Trinity

Heaven and Hell

The Holy Spirit

When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. 2 Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. 3 They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. 4 All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues[a] as the Spirit enabled them.
The Mandate
Pastor Joseph Aborowa is the Senior Pastor of Highland Church, and he is supported by a team of pastors and ministers who are committed to the mandate of transformation. The mandate for the Church was revealed to the Senior Pastor in a vision from God.
In the vision, he was driven by a motorcyclist to an unknown location. When he got there, he saw kidnapped, beaten, and chained people with blood all over. These people were oppressed and in serious pain, and there was fire coming out of the darkness. Immediately he alighted from the motorcycle, he realized that he had been kidnapped to join the group of suffering people.
On beholding the agony, he attempted to run but a voice spoke from heaven, saying:
“You are here to deliver these people, where are you running to?”
“You have been sent to take away the reproach of men and put smiles on their faces (Gen 30:23).” “You have been sent to save, deliver, and rescue those who are distressed, indebted, and discontented about life (I Samuel 22:1-2).”
This revelation and encounter is the call upon which the formation of the Highland Church was established. This mandate metamorphosed over the years through various platforms, as led by the Holy Spirit. It is now Highland Church, a name divinely inspired from Isaiah 2:2-4 and Matthew 5:14.
